Dell support assist not wanted but needed Dell support assist is the work of the devil and was the cause of bsods on a friend's pc i fixed I remember using autoruns to find and delete some support assist items left over despite uninstalling the product. I got on my dell computer while i was off of it, and all of a sudden some application on my desktop called supportassist was on my computer and apparently it was made today
I would suggest cleanly removing both support assist and support assist os recovery via the control panel
Then enable the hidden items view in windows explorer and look at your os (c) drive for the programdata and appdata folders. There are at least two threads on the dell community forums about the dell support assist reporting the amount of memory has changed at boot or reboot One thread is alienware laptops and another is for inspiron 15 gaming 5577 model There are a bunch of them
